Use of Will and Shall in Modals (Promise, Threat, Determination)

Special Use (Promise, Threat, Determination)

सामान्यतः Future tense में I और We के साथ Shall तथा अन्य subjects के साथ Will का प्रयोग होता है।

लेकिन जब promise, threat, determination या strong intention व्यक्त करना होता है तब यह नियम बदल जाता है।

Rule

• I / We + Will
• You / He / She / They + Shall

इस स्थिति में Will और Shall जोर (emphasis) को व्यक्त करते हैं।

Normal Rule

Examples

• I shall go to school tomorrow.
• We shall start the work.
• He will come tomorrow.
• They will help us.

Special Rule (Promise, Threat, Determination)

जब sentence में वादा (promise), धमकी (threat) या दृढ निश्चय (determination) व्यक्त हो तब  will और shall का प्रयोग उल्टा होता है वाक्य का भाव बदल जाता है | उसमें कई बार अवश्य लग जाता है | 

Explanation

Is rule me Will aur Shall emphasis ko vyakt karte hain.

• I will help you. → Promise
• We will finish this work. → Determination
• You shall obey the rules. → Order / determination
• He shall be punished. → Threat
