पहचान: इसके हिंदी के वाक्यों के अंत में चूका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे अथवा या था, यी थी या ये थे आदि लगा रहता है, जबकि अंग्रेजी के वाक्यों में had के साथ मुख्य क्रिया में verb का third form लगा रहता है |
जैसे :

मैं नास्ता कर चूका था | मैंने नास्ता कर लिया था | |
I had taken breakfast. |
वाक्य की बनावट (Structures Of Sentences):
(A) Affurmative Sentence:
Subject + had + V3 + object.
Example:
तुम अपना पाठ याद कर चुके थे |
you had learnt your lesson.
वह समय से पहले मर चूका था |
He had died before the time.
(B) Negative Sentence:
Subject + had + not + V3 + object.
Example:
उसने घर की सफाई नहीं की थी |
She had not cleaned the house.
तुमने उसे नहीं बुलाया था |
You had not called him.
(C) Interrogative Sentence:
Helping verb:
Had + subject + V3 + object ?
Example:
क्या उनलोगों ने दवाइयाँ खरीदी थी ?
Had they baught medicines?
क्या कभी भारत मैच जीता था ?
Had ever India won the match?
WH Family:
WH + had + subject + V3 + object ?
Example:
वह कैसे अपना समय बर्बाद कर चूका था ?
How had he wasted his time?
तुम कहाँ अपनी छुट्टी बिता चुके थे ?
Where had you spent your holidays?

1. मैं कई बार यहाँ आ चूका था |
2. वेलोग बहुत समय तक प्रतीक्षा कर चुके थे |
3. वह अपना नाम बदल चुकी थी |
4. दीपक अपने गाँव जा चुका था |
5. सभी नदियाँ सुख चुकी थी |
6. सभी विद्यार्थी कक्षा से भाग चुके थे |
7. हम लोग सभी प्रश्न हल कर चुके थे |

14. वह अपना काम समय पर समाप्त कर चूका था |

उसके विद्यालय पहुँचने से पहले घंटी बज चुकी थी |
The bell had gone before he reached the school.
जब मैं विस्तर से उठा तो सूर्य उग चूका था |
When I got up from the bed the sun had risen.
दावत समाप्त होने के बाद मैं वहाँ पहुँचा |
I reached there after the dinner had finished.
समय बितने के बाद मैंने इसे समझा |
I understood this after the time had spent.
आठ बजने से पहले मैं अपना काम समाप्त कर चूका था |
I had finished my work before it was to eight.

1. मेरे आने से पहले वह जा चूका था |
2. उसके स्टेशन पहुँचने से पहले गाड़ी जा चुकी थी |
3. डॉक्टर के आने से पहले रोगी मर चूका था |
4. तुम्हारे यहाँ पहुँचने से पहले सभी सदस्य जा चुके थे |
5. पुलिस के आने से पहले चोर भाग चुके थे |
6. हमलोगों के शिमला पहुँचने से पहले बर्फ गिर चुकी थी |
7. बरसात आने से पहले नदियाँ सुख चुकी थी |
8. उनके बुलाने से पहले मैं वहां पहुँच चूका था |
9. मेरे परीक्षा हॉल में घुसने से पहले प्रश्न-पत्र बंट चुके थे |
10. मेरे तैयार होने होने से पहले समय समाप्त हो चूका था |
11. जब हम दिल्ली पहुँचे वर्षा शुरू हो चुकी थी |
