Introduction
Modals :
Modals are auxillary (Helping) verbs that does work as a main verb.
Example of some modals:
will, shall, has to, have to, had to, will have to, shall have to, would, should, ought to, must, can, could, may, might, used to, need, dare etc.
General structure of modal's sentense :
Subject + modal + Verb1 + object.
Examples:
(1) He can run faster than you.
(2) I should not mind to others.
(3) She must go to school.
(4) We ought to serve the country.
(5) They would like to read rather than play.
Modals के लिए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें :
(i) modals में कभी भी Verbs का 2nd form का प्रयोग नहीं होता है |
(ii) कुछ सहायक क्रियाओं (Helping Verbs) का प्रयोग modals में विशेष रूप से होता है !
जैसे - can't, need not, dare not, will और shall का प्रयोग |
Negative Sentense :
Subject + modal + not + Verb1 + object.
Examples:
(i) She should not go outside.
(ii) I will not do anything with him.
(iii) He would not die in an accident if he obeyed me.
