Chapter 5. Exploring Mixtures and their Separation

Pure substances and mixtures are present everywhere around us. Different substances combine to form mixtures, but each component retains its own properties. Since mixtures contain two or more substances mixed physically, they can be separated by suitable physical methods based on differences in their properties.
