Lesson-8 Body Movement

1. Joint: We are able to bend or rotate our body in place where two parts of our body seem to be joined together.

2. Movement in all direction: Ball and socket joint are movement in all direction.

3. Hinge joint: knee joint are example of hinge joint.

4. Fixed joint: Some joints in our head can’t move such a joints.

5. Skeleton: The bones in our body also from a framework to give a shape to our body.

6. Rib cage: Rib join the chest bone the backbone together to form a box.         

7. Cartilage: Soft bone which can be bent.

8. Ball and socket joints: The rounded end of one bone fits into cavity of the other bones. Such a joint allows movements in all directions.

 9. Skull bones are movable: lower jaw is skull bones are movable.

 10. Elbow not move backwards: Elbow cannot move backwards because it has hinge joint which allows only back and forth movements.

 11. Streamlined: The head and tail of the fish are smaller the middle portion of the body tapers at both ends.  

 12. Snails move: Snails move with the help of a muscular foot.

 13. Earthworms move: Earthworm move by alternate extension and contraction of the body using muscular.    

 14. Bones move: The bones are moved by alternate contractions and relaxation of two sets of muscular. 

 15. Fishes have fins their body: Fishes have fins on their body which mainly help to keep the balance of the body and to keep directions, while swimming.
