Prove that the following rational numbers are equal:
(i) 2/3 and 4/6
4/6 = 2÷2 / 6÷2 = 2/3
Hence equal.
(ii) 5/4 and 10/8
10/8 = 10÷2 / 8÷2 = 5/4
Hence equal.
(iii) -3/5 and -6/10
-6/10 = -6÷2 / 10÷2 = -3/5
Hence equal.
(iv) 9/3 and 3
9/3 = 3
Hence equal.

Find the sum:
(i) 2/5 + 3/10
= 4/10 + 3/10
= 7/10
(ii) 7/12 + 5/8
LCM = 24
= 14/24 + 15/24
= 29/24
(iii) -4/7 + 3/14
= -8/14 + 3/14
= -5/14

LCM = 12

LHS:
