उत्तर: वर्षामापी यंत्र स्थापित करने के लिए “ऊँचे चबूतरे के साथ खुला मैदान” सबसे उपयुक्त स्थान है।
कारण:
- खुले मैदान में वर्षा का पानी सीधे वर्षामापी में गिर सकेगा।
- भवन, पेड़ या दीवार वर्षा को बाधित नहीं करेंगे।
- ऊँचा चबूतरा यंत्र को सुरक्षित रखेगा।
- सही और सटीक वर्षा मापन संभव होगा।
