प्रश्न: जनगणना विधि से क्या अभिप्राय है ?
उत्तर: जनगणना विधि वह विधि है जिसमें सांख्यिकीय विषय से संबंधित कुल या समग्र अर्थात सभी मदों का अध्ययन किया जाता है | यदि हम उन मदों में से कुछ मदों को अन्य का छोड़कर अध्ययन किया जाता है तो ऐसे विधि को जनगणना नहीं कहेंगे |
जैसे किसी विद्यालय के छात्रों का किसी विषय पर अध्ययन करना है तो यदि हम अपने अध्ययन में उस विद्यालय के सभी छात्रों एवं छात्राओं को शामिल कर अध्ययन करते है तो उसे जनगणना (cencus) कहा जायेगा |
प्रश्न: जनगणना विधि की उपयुक्तता लिखिए |
उत्तर: जनगणना विधि निम्नलिखित अनुसंधानों के लिए उपयुक्त है :
(i) जिनका अनुसंधान क्षेत्र सिमित हो |
(ii) जिनके मदों में काफी विभिन्नता हो |
(iii) जिनमें मदों की संख्या अधिक हो और गहन अध्ययन की आवश्यकता हो |
(iv) जहाँ शुद्धता एवं विश्वश्नियता की आवश्यकता हो |
प्रश्न : जनगणना विधि के गुणों को लिखिए |
उत्तर: जनगणना विधि द्वारा संग्रहित किए गए आँकड़े में निम्नलिखित गुण पाया जाता है :
(i) ये अधिक विश्वसनीय तथा शुद्ध होते हैं |
(ii) इसमें पक्षपात की सम्भावना कम रहती है |
(iii) इसमें विस्तृत सुचना प्राप्त होता है और प्रत्येक मदों के विषय में अनेक बातों का पता चलता है |
(iv) इस विधि द्वारा काफी भिन्न मदों का भी अध्ययन किया जा सकता है जहाँ अन्य विधि से संभव नहीं है |
(v) जनगणना विधि ऐसे सभी समस्याओं के लिए उपयोगी है जिनका अध्ययन प्रत्यक्ष रूप से संभव नहीं है | जैसे - बेरोजगारी एवं भ्रष्टाचार आदि |
