Sentences And their Kinds

Senetences In English Grammar:

Sentence: A goup of words arranged in meaningful way is known as sentence.

Example: He works in a factory.

There are four types of sentences in term of translation.

अनुवाद की दृष्टि से वाक्य चार प्रकार के होते है |

(A) Affirmative Or Asserative Sentences:

      Example:

      I like to play music.

      He is my best friend.

We take care of our health.

      Sunita can speak english.

General form of a Affirmative Sentence:

       Subject + Helping Verb/Verb + object + other words

       Example:

He is a good man of my city

She took rest in the morning.

You were a naughty boy since childhood

Gopi has sold his house at very low price

Note: See examples and general form and match the colour.

(B) Negative Sentences:

      Example:

      I have not any car.

      You are not brave.

      They were not taking breakfast.

      She does not play musics.

   Note: किसी भी negative वाक्य में not हमेशा Helping verb के बाद या main verb (मुख्य क्रिया) से पहले होता है |

       General Form of Negative Sentence:

Subject + Helping Verb + Not + Verb object + other words

I do not watch movies during rest.

         She will not come soon.

Radha did not demande a cup of tea

She is not very well now.

(C) Interrogative Sentences:

     Examples:

      Are you O.K ?

      Is he my friend ?

      Do you know me ?

      Have your taken lunch ?

      What is the matter ?

      How are you ?

Where did she go to see movies?

Why are you telling a lie ?

 प्रश्नवाचक (Interrogative) वाक्य की बनावट दो प्रकार की होती है,

      (i) Interrogative of Helping Verbs:

      (ii) Interrogative of WH Family:

(i) Interrogative of Helping Verbs:

General Form of Interrogative Sentence of Helping Verb:

Helping Verb Subject + Verb object + other words. ?

    जैसे :

    Are you well now ?

Has he forgotten his name ?

    Can you solve this ?

Will you meet me on Monday ?

(D) Negative + Interrogative Sentences:

इसके वाक्य नकारात्मक और प्रश्नवाचक दोनों होते हैं ? जैसे -

क्या मैंने फूल नहीं तोड़े ? Did I not pluck flowers?

क्या वह अमीर नहीं है ? Is he not rich?

क्या राधा मोटी नहीं है ? Is Radha not fat?

क्या रोगी के पास दवाई नहीं थी ? Had patient not medicine?

General form :

Helping Verb + subject + not + verb + object + other words

Are you not busy?

Have we not bsket?

Was this not yours?

Is Ram not mad?

Do you not live alone?

(E) Interrogative sentence of WH family :

What does Mohan do ?

How is Radha ?

Where is that boy?

When will Gopal go ?

Whose bag had you stolen?

What, when, why, where, whose, whom, which, how और who आदि को आम बोल-चाल की भाषा में wh फॅमिली कहा जाता है | परन्तु ये प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम (Interrogative Pronoun) होते है जो प्रश्न का निर्माण करते हैं |
